After honing his performance skills at the ever popular listening room Eddie's Attic in Decatur, GA, Matthew Perryman Jones set his sights on Nashville and launched his career five years ago with the release of his debut album Throwing Punches in The Dark.  Swallow the Sea followed a few years later further solidified Jones, as noted by Performing Songwriter Magazine, as a talent that follows "…in the footsteps of Lenard Cohen and John Lennon."

Earlier this year, Matthew Perryman Jones released Until The Dawn Appears which features "retellings" of some of his most popular songs (including "Save You", who's video features Jamie Alexander from the show Kyle XY and the new film Thor) alongside a handful of new tunes tossed in for good measure.  

Matthew's songs have been featured in a number of popular TV shows including Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Bones, and One Tree Hill, to name but a few.

Matthew's toured with Ingrid Michaelson and has shared the stage with the likes of Shawn Colvin, Paula Cole, and Patty Griffin; while also doing co-headlining tours of his own with Joshua James and Jay Nash.    He's also a member of the collective "Ten Out of Tenn" (featuring fellow singer/songwriters Trent Dabbs, Erin McCarley, Katie Herzig and others), which recently completed a three week tour in September.

Matthew's currently in the process of completing his next full length release, which will be released in the early part of next year.  

USA Today has described his music as "Gorgeous," and American Songwriter says "..Matthew's voice ensnares listeners with a rare authenticity and gritty strength."
