Josh Williams Band
From easy-going ballads to fiery, hard-driving instrumentals, it’s no wonder the Josh Williams Band was voted the 2010 International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Emerging Artist of the Year. Josh Williams is part of the rare breed of musician that has an inherent gift for music and lyrics. On top of being named IBMA’s Guitar Player of the Year, for the third time in 2010, he is an exceptionally skilled multi-instrumentalist with wide audience appeal. The Josh Williams Band includes top-notch musicians Jason McKendree on banjo; Nick Keen, 2010 MerleFest Mandolin Champion on mandolin; and Randy Barnes on bass.
Whether I am producing a radio show, live stage show or just listening to music for my own enjoyment, the quality of the performance is my top priority. In any of these situations, The Josh Williams Band consistently delivers! - Cindy Baucom, Knee-Deep in Bluegrass
I can’t think of the last time I heard a four piece band this strong – rhythmically solid and sonically powerful – since maybe the early editions of Lonesome River Band in the 1990s. Their sound is crisp, precise and in-your-face. With Josh’s easy charm and million dollar smile, it makes for a very engaging performance. The guys obviously have fun on stage, and Josh is perfectly comfortable with the attention on him. - John Lawless, The Bluegrass Blog
