Anderson East
After releasing well received EP, "Fire Demos," in July 2010, Anderson East's creative ambition steamed ahead with a back to back release of three song EP "Transitive Property," all while gaining interest from a well respected group of music makers who would shortly prove to be the team for East's next endeavor. Venturing into the studio yet again, this time with producer Chris Seefried (Counting Crows, Fitz & the Tantrums, Jay Nash, Low Stars) a new project was born, "Flowers of the Broken Hearted" LP.
Ready to explore and create outside of his Nashville roots, East chose Los Angeles for his musical canvas, and a prized cast of individuals to complete the palette, including, Grammy award winning engineer, Seth A. Horan and an array of acclaimed musicians including: Charles Gillingham & David Immergluck (members of the Counting Crows), Rob Wasserman (Lou Reed, Van Morrison), Waddy Wachtel (Warren Zevon, Stevie Nicks), Don Heffington (Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris), Noel Scaggs (Fitz & the Tantrums) and Justine Bennett. "Flowers of the Broken Hearted" is an honest and deeply artistic endeavor.
"At 22, you gotta be kidding me, cat sounds like he's got 10 children. He's got a lot. What amazed me some, was bringing Anderson into the studio with Waddy Wachtel and Rob Rasserman and Charlie Gillingham and the kid was always in the center of the frame, totally connected to what he was doing musically. No matter the circumstance, live in front of lot's, expensive studio mic, house concert, he's always completely connected to it. It's the thing that makes you believe something is happening, cause it really is." - Chris Seefried (Producer)
"The first time I heard Anderson East sing, I was literally transfixed, held motionless with amazement and awe. I LOVE his new record Flowers of the Broken Hearted. I love the songs, the stories, the music, the voice. Anyone who loves Ray LaMontagne or Patty Griffin should sprint to get a listen" - Ali Harnell (AEG Live / The Messina Group)
